Healthier Jackson County Coalition

The Jackson County Health Department organized several community partners to create a plan for community health improvement and assist in carrying out the objectives of the plan.

Jackson County Substance-abuse Prevention and Addiction Resource Council

The Jackson County Health Department is an extremely active member of the County's SPARC Coalition. Some of the most notable project collaborations include the Annual Sober Bowl Event and Red Ribbon Celebrations.

Jackson County Safe Communities Coalition

The Jackson County Health Department is the recipient of the Federal Safe Communities Grant, provided through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and managed through Ohio Traffic Safety Office. 

Safe Communities works with local law enforcement, county agencies, schools and more to promote traffic safety practices, conduct traffic related surveys and collect important traffic data in the community.

Gallia-Jackson-Meigs Suicide Prevention Collaborative

The Jackson County Health Department is an active member of the GJM Suicide Prevention Collaborative, participating in local events, outreach and support to survivors of attempt and of loss. This collaborative's mission is to prevent suicide through awareness, education, collaboration, support, improved access to mental health care and community resources.
